LG L343i Mobile Phone Review
LG L343i was launched in August, 2006 with a sharp new design that allows access to i-mode. It’s a stylish camera phone with exclusive O2 i-mode functions. The expectation is that the LG l343i will boost growing i-mode sales. I-mode provides internet services such as eBay shopping and use of Streetmap. You can also access i-mail which forwards email messages directly to your mobile phone. Multimedia messaging means that you can create and transmit a message with text, photo and sound. Editing capabilities are excellent.
The L343i is a tri-band clamshell phone that measures 47 by 89 by 22mm. The size feels comfortable in the hand and it’s not too heavy at 86 grams. It features a VGA camera, colour screen and Bluetooth. The display is 256 K with 128 by 160 pixel size. The external display is 65K, 96 x 64 pixels.
The casing for the LG L343i is a dark grey effect which comes with different colour tones that adds to the appearance of the handset. An external colour screen allows you to view time, signal strength, battery life and caller details without opening the handset. The phone comes with a handsfree kit and useful travel adapter
The phone comes with 40 channel polyphonic ringtones which can be customized and includes vibration capability.
You can retain up to ten dialed, received and missed calls and the phone has a photocall phonebook which allows you to set up caller groups with icons and ringtones separate for each group. There can be seven caller groups with up to 20 names in each group.
The LG l343i is Bluetooth enabled and has GPRS. It features email, MMS, EMS and SMS messaging with the iMode browser. On board games are available with additional choices which can be ordered.
The VGA camera features a 640 by 480 pixel screen with video and flash, using Java MIDP 2.0. There’s a photo album, photo organiser, calendar and voice memo for additional features
A Li-Ion battery is rated at up to 200 hours of stand-by time.
